What is TenDollarPick?

TenDollarPick is two things in one:

  1. A wiki: 309 football players, 278 world cities, 83 nations — each with bio, pricing tier, sample squads, FAQ. Like a budget-themed Wikipedia.
  2. A game: You have $10. Build the best possible football squad or travel itinerary. Battle other users. Vote, share on Instagram.

It's free, ad-free, signup-free. Your picks live in URLs (shareable instantly). Optional Supabase backend enables voting, comments, voice notes.

Why $10?

$10 is the magic constraint. It's enough to feel meaningful (a Messi or a Bali trip) but tight enough to force choices. The game isn't "what's the best squad ever" — it's "what's the best squad in $10". Different game.

How is the data sourced?

Player bios and signature moments are written specifically for TenDollarPick — they reference both historical achievements and our $10 pricing. City guides are budget-traveler focused, not generic tourism content. Photos load from Wikipedia/Wikimedia (free, CC-licensed) with initials fallback.

Tech

Vanilla HTML, CSS, JavaScript. No framework. Pre-generated 820+ static pages for SEO. PWA installable. Supabase for the optional backend (free tier).
