How to Play TenDollarPick

First time? It takes 60 seconds to learn.

The Rules

You have exactly $10.
Pick from one category: ⚽ Football or ✈️ Travel.
Each item (player or travel option) costs $1–$5.
Total cost cannot exceed $10.
Submit when ready. Share the URL. Battle other people's picks.

Step 1 — Pick a category

Football builds an 11-player squad in a formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2, etc). Travel designs a one-day trip: city + food + transport + accommodation + optional activity.

Step 2 — Build within budget

Every pick has a price. The budget counter at the top shows what's left. It turns red if you go over.

Common strategy: 1 marquee ($4–$5) + budget cover. Example: Messi ($5) + 4 $1 defenders + 1 $1 midfielder = $10.

Step 3 — Submit + share

When you hit "Submit Squad", your picks are encoded into the URL. Share that URL anywhere — it loads the exact same squad.

Bonus: tap "📸 Share to Instagram Story" to download a 1080×1920 PNG card with your picks + a QR code + a short code (like TDP-X3K9) that friends can type to load your squad.

Step 4 — Battle

Tap "⚔️ Battle" to face a random opponent's pick. Vote on which is better. Wins build your streak; losses reset it.

Tips for beginners

Start with the beginner guide — featured easy squads.
Don't blow your full budget on one $5 GOAT unless the rest of your squad is $1 each.
Lower-tier players ($1) are still real Premier League / international footballers — bench fillers aren't trash.
For travel: $10 in Bangkok or Mexico City goes way further than $10 in Tokyo or Paris.
